....... still waiting

..... but meanwhile Bertie had a very important job to do today. It was his Mum's nephew's (James) school ball - and James wanted Bertie to take him to the Pre-Ball party where he was meeting up with his partner for the night. See the photo - James looked very handsome (just like Bertie).

Waiting, waiting, waiting....

.... it's hard for a young fella to wait! But wait he must - apparently Bertie's spoiler is nearly ready to be fitted but his wheels are still a way off.

Today Bertie had an imporant passenger - Indigo. His Mum picked up Indigo from school and took her to a swimming lesson and then back to her house. Here she is sitting in the back of Bertie.
Life for Bertie has settled down somewhat but he is still meeting all sorts of new people. On Saturday he had his first trip to 'the country'. He went to visit Yasmin's Nanna & Opa, Uncle Paul AND Alexander - all the way up the hill to Stoneville. He loved the drive - got a bit impatient with all the people going slow up the hill - but much to Nanna's surprise - he snuck in the back and she didn't even hear him come. Alexander loved showing off his new house to Bertie's Mum and rightly so - it is beautiful - unfinished, but beautiful all the same.

On the way back from Stoneville - Bertie made this special stop - to buy a pizza (or two) from Little Caesars in Mundaring - which he carried all the way to High Wycombe where he met Colin & Cheryle. They took him for a drive and thought he was pretty special - but they also liked the pizza!

On Sunday Bertie went to visit his relatives in Padbury and James & Tim (who had had rides before) just had to get in the back when their sister Renee had her first ride. Renee loved that Bertie has lots of yellow on the inside as well as the outside.

So.... keep looking ...........

Bertie's Weekend

Just as well it's Monday because Bertie needs a rest!

His Mum is feeling much more comfortable with all the new gadgets and things now and is really loving the sunroof! The full moon looked very special through the open roof last night.

On Friday he was shown off to Sheena and then Tristy and Indigo. He also got a new surround on his front number plate - as the 'VW Osborne Park' one wasn't up to his Mum's standards! As I'm sure you'll agree from the photos!!!!

Bertie took his Mum to lunch at Sorrento Quay on Saturday to meet Kathy, her bestest girlfriend from boarding school. He was in the car park for a long time as they had a lot to catch up on! They then drove to Mt Claremont to pick up Yolanda and on down to Fremantle for fish and chips at Cicerello's. That was a long drive and his Mum really got a chance to relax and enjoy him.

Early Sunday morning Bertie and his Mum went down to Scarborough Beach. His Mum went for a long walk while Bertie stayed in the carpark where lots of the people on their daily walks admired him - he likes that!

He had another lengthy drive at night when he took his Mum and Barbara to the Pines Outdoor cinema and from there to the airport to pick up Zia Kate who came home from Melbourne. He then slept the night at Zia Kate's as Pete is still away - and she likes company.

So - many new experiences on the weekend - most of which will become everyday events soon enough!

Visitors and visiting!

Bertie was getting a bit concerned this morning because he didn't see his Mum until 11am! She was busy cleaning the house because ladies were coming for an Enjo party! .......but then .... finally, she came out and off they went to visit their 'special family friends' who had arrived home from Europe in the early hours of the morning. Bertie's horn woke them up and despite them being half asleep - they loved him.

After lunch the ladies came - and once again he was admired but his proudest moment was tonight when he and his Mum went to visit Peg for her 40th birthday and his Mum's nephews and their friends were there and he took them for 'a spin' around the block.

Bertie's Mum was pretty excited when she got in and turned on the lights - WOW they are blue and red on the inside - it lights up just like an aeroplane or a space capsule! The boys loved Bertie - loved his radio and loved the noise he made when his Mum took off down the street.

This was a great day - and Bertie hopes there'll be plenty more just like it!
